Focus Myanmar:the Farnesina hosts a country presentation dedicated to the Asian Country on 2 February 2017

The spotlights are on Myanmar: next 2 February the Farnesina will host a Country Presentation dedicated to the cooperation and investment opportunities offered by the Union of Myanmar, one of Asia's most promising markets for the growth and expansion perspectives of foreign companies.

The lifting of American sanctions, the passing of a new law on investments and a policy fostering the attraction of foreign capital are some of the signs of the transformation process ongoing in the Country and of the new business climate. These initiatives, compounded with its great wealth of raw materials and its geographic position in a strategic area such as that of Southeast Asia, turn Myanmar into a Country with a great potential of attracting foreign companies to settle there.

The event, organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation with the support of the Italian Embassy in Yangon, in partnership with the Ministry for Economic Development, the ICE-Agenzia for the Internationalisation and Promotion of Italian Companies Abroad and UNIDO ITPO Italy, will be an occasion in which to discover the business opportunities in the infrastructure, energy and machinery sectors. The Union of Myanmar will be represented by an official delegation led by the Minister of Commerce and will include a select representation of Burmese companies to attend B2B meetings scheduled for the same day.
