Infor Global : Braunschweiger Flammenfilter Achieves Major Step Towards Cloud ERP Deployment with Infor

NEW YORK - Jan 11, 2018

Infor, a leading provider of industry-specific cloud applications, today announced that long-standing customer Braunschweiger Flammenfilter has upgraded its ERP solution Infor LN to the latest release version. Braunschweiger Flammenfilter supplies Flamearresters®, pressure relief valves as well as tank accessories for oil and gas companies and the chemical and petrochemical industry. The manufacturer has been using Infor LN 10.5 at its headquarters in Braunschweig since June 2017. With Infor LN the company has integrated all processes including supply chain processes and the diversity of its production that is being created by tens of thousands of product variants being manufactured for customers in a customized fashion.

As one major step towards cloud infrastructure, the project was completed within less than five months. This way the medium-sized business from Lower Saxony and Infor has been able to remove three quarters of all previous customizations from the system - a necessary step for the company to finally introduce Infor's industry-specific CloudSuites in the medium term.

'From our point of view, projects with Infor have been running well so far. Compared to our last upgrade two years before we have even experienced major improvements. 'Two factors show us why: compared to our last upgrade to Infor LN 10.3, the time spent on upgrading customizations has been cut down to less than 10%, while total costs have fallen by two-thirds.
