BOISE - The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) today announced the award of a wastewater planning grant in the amount of $30,000 to the city of Mullan in Shoshone County.

The funds will be used to prepare a wastewater planning document with an environmental review. The purpose of the project is to evaluate the existing collection system and problems with leakage, and identify alternatives for needed improvements.

The total eligible cost of the project is $65,000. The remaining $35,000 will be funded by the city of Mullan and a grant from U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development.
