ICON Venue Group, the leading international owner's representative and project management firm in the sports, entertainment and public assembly industry, is expanding and strengthening its executive leadership team as part of a forward-looking strategy that will position the company for another generation of stability and success. ICON's founder and CEO, Tim Romani, a leader in the development of stadiums and arenas for more than 25 years, has led ICON Venue Group for more than a decade. To prepare the company for the next decade and beyond, Tim is expanding ICON's senior management team by promoting Art Aaron to president and chief operating officer, and promoting both Marc Farha and Charlie Thornton to the role of executive vice president.

"Over the years, we have greatly expanded and refined our service delivery to our clients, and this expansion of our executive team empowers our entire organization to further enhance how we serve our current and future clients," said Romani. "I am very excited that Art, Marc and Charlie are joining me to lead ICON forward to continued success and growth for years to come. Each of them has been with me from the beginning and has made an enormous contribution to ICON's success, and I trust all of them to lead us into the next era. We all work extremely well together and have complementary skills that make ICON stronger, smarter and better positioned for the future. With this broader executive team in place, I feel confident that ICON will continue to be the world's leading owner's representative and project management firm for sports and entertainment facilities."

In ICON's executive leadership team:

  • Tim Romani will continue to serve as CEO of the company, guiding strategic direction and new initiatives for the company, leading its domestic and international business development efforts and overseeing the development of several projects in progress.
  • Art Aaron, who previously served as the company's COO, will now serve as both president and COO. In this role, he will be responsible for ICON's day-to-day activities and will focus on managing ICON's core business: project delivery.
  • Marc Farha, who previously served as a senior vice president, will serve as executive vice president. In this role, he will continue to actively manage projects, be responsible for ICON's East Coast operations and contribute to the executive management of ICON.
  • Charlie Thornton, who previously served as a senior vice president, will also serve as executive vice president. In this role, he will also continue to manage projects and be responsible for leading key areas like ICON's MLS project delivery, plus contribute to the executive management of ICON.

"I couldn't be more thrilled to take on this expanded role and be a part of ICON's next era," said Aaron. "This executive team expansion strengthens our leadership and our ability to provide the level of client service that has made us a trusted partner for so many sports and entertainment clients. We will continue to be an organization where the industry's best people want to work and build highly successful careers."
