::Biden defends his health,

says he is 'in good shape'

::Washington, D.C.

"I've taken three significant intense neurological exams by a neurologist. In each case as recent as February, and they say I'm in good shape. Okay. Although I do have a little problem with my left foot because it's not as sensitive because I broke my foot, didn't wear the boot. But I'm good, I'm tested every single day by my neurological capacity, the decisions I make every day."

"Every single day I'm surrounded by good docs. If they think there's a problem, I promise you, we don't think it's a problem. If they think I should have a neurological exam again. I'll do it. No one's suggesting that to me now."

At a news conference, Biden said he had taken three significant and intense neurological exams, most recently in February, and that the doctors tell him that "I am in good shape." He said no one was suggesting he take another such exam at this time.

Biden faces growing doubts from donors, supporters and fellow Democrats, who fear he no longer has the ability to beat former President Trump in the Nov. 5 election, or to lead the country for another four-year term.
