The declaration from Bern (EvB) and Greenpeace will be presenting the 2014 Public Eye Awards on 23rd January 2014 during the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos. The Public Eye Awards are considered to be the true voice of civil society and non-government organisations throughout the world that are constantly campaigning against exploitation, environmental damage and pollution as well as violations of human rights. The winner's of the People Award and the Jury Award will be announced by Kumi Naidoo, Executive Director of Greenpeace International. The public voting for the Public Eye People Award is still open until 22 January 2014 on www.publiceye.ch.

As part of the awards ceremony, Tomá? Sedlá?ek, Chief Economist at the largest bank in the Czech Republic, lateral thinker and former adviser to Vàclav Havel will talk about why the grotesque side of world economics is still expanding today as well as about growth capitalism and Sabbat economics. His book, "The Economics of Good and Evil ", was awarded the 2012 German Economic Book Prize and is a philosophical as well as historical analysis of our current economic system. In addition, a representative from the organisation which nominated the company that is awarded the Jury Award will be present and give a laudatory speech about the winner.
