Grant Thornton LLP partners and principals elected Kullen Birkeland, office managing partner of the Southern California practice; Dexter Manning, national Food and Beverage practice leader; Erica O’Malley, national managing partner of Employee Benefit Plans and Diversity and Inclusion; and Jim Wittmer, East region leader of the Strategic Federal Tax Services practice, to the Partnership Board at the annual Firm Leadership Meeting held in November.

Incumbents Dave Wedding, Mid-South market territory managing partner and office managing partner of the Carolinas practice, which includes offices in Charlotte and Raleigh, N.C., and Columbia, S.C., and Jon Wolkenstein, Audit partner and Dallas office assistant managing partner, were re-elected to the board.

In addition, Wedding was re-elected as chairman during the board’s December meeting. Wedding has served as chairman since December 2012.
