On January 1, GTI International, Inc. (GTII) subsidiaries Fisher-Nickel, Inc. (fishnick), Davis Energy Group, Inc. (DEG), and Bevilacqua-Knight, Inc. (BKi) combined to become a new company, Frontier Energy, Inc.

Larry Brand is leading the new company as its president. Having served as an R&D Director at GTI and President of Davis Energy Group, Brand has over 30 years of experience in energy efficiency research and development, with a focus in building energy management, measured home performance, zero net energy, high-efficiency space conditioning systems, commercial foodservice, combined heat and power, and codes and standards development. He has strong relationships with the Department of Energy/National Renewable Energy Laboratory--Building America program, the California Energy Commission Public Interest Energy Research (PIER) and Electric Program Investment Charge (EPIC) programs, and state utilities.
