France has hired banks for the launch of a new long-dated government bond, or OAT, with maturity in May 2043, one of the lead manager banks said in a deal announcement on Monday.

The transaction will be launched in the near future, subject to market conditions.

The banks hired for the transaction are BNP Paribas, BofA Securities, Deutsche Bank, HSBC and J.P.Morgan.
