By LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwired - Jan 6, 2014) - South Manchester is regarded as one of the most desirable places to live in the city, so it is not so surprising that some of the most expensive streets are in this area, according to latest research from Lloyds Bank. These include Withinlee Road in Macclesfield (£1,871,0001) - the most expensive outside southern England, East Downs Road in Altrincham (£1,361,000) and Torkington Road in Wilmslow (£1,143,000). Four of the most expensive streets are in Altrincham and two are Alderley Edge.

"Unsurprisingly, the most expensive residential streets in England and Wales are in London, but Macclesfield's Withinlee Road takes the title in the North West. The top ten in the North West sees strong appearances from addresses in Altrincham and Alderley Edge. The national survey shows that the most expensive streets continue to be tightly clustered in relatively small areas."
