Energy UK : comment on the appointment of SMDA test house

Following the appointment of NMi to provide the testing services for the Smart Metering Device Assurance (SMDA) scheme. Energy UK issued the following statement.

Rosie McGlynn, Director of New Energy Services and Heat at Energy UK and Chair of the Smart Metering Device Assurance company said:

'SMDA Co is very pleased with the appointment of NMi as the Scheme's Test House, which marks a significant milestone on the road to the launch of the SMDA scheme's testing services. The focus now is on completing the necessary readiness activities so that the SMDA assurance services can be provided to the industry in support of the mass roll-out of smart meters and related devices.'
