"We are proud to start the year by launching CKB GO POS service thanks to which the final obstacle to a greater use of payment cards and contactless payment services will be removed. CKB GO POS service gives entrepreneurs and legal persons the opportunity to use a mobile phone as a standard POS terminal, thus enabling their customers to pay securely and easily. This is not only a big step in the process of banking services digitalization, but also a chance for various business owners to expand their operations. It is also important to note that CKB GO POS service is yet another result of the successful, long-lasting cooperation of our bank with the companies MasterCard and VISA, which will certainly continue in the period ahead of us," said Tamás Kamarási, Chairperson of the Management Board of CKB.

Jelena Ristić, Regional Director for Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia & Herzegovina in the company MasterCard, said that the interest of entrepreneurs in this type of service is continuously growing on a y-o-y basis.

"CKB's business decision to bring this advanced technology to the domestic market is of great importance because it not only enables Montenegro to get even closer to a cashless society, but will also help small merchants implement this smart solution to reduce costs and increase turnover through the card acceptance process. We are especially pleased that this service has been recognized as one of the key steps in keeping up with the newest digital payment trends that customers are looking for, while at the same time security, ease of payment and impeccable customer experience remain to be the priority," said Ms. Ristic.

Vladimir Đorđević, General Manager of VISA company for the Southeastern Europe, reminded that contactless payment is the fastest growing form of payment at both global and regional level.

"That is why the solution we developed in cooperation with CKB comes at a very important moment. I am truly pleased that thanks to the innovative VISA Tap-To-Phone technology we will give businesses in Montenegro the opportunity to quickly and easily start accepting payments with cards and digital wallets. I believe this solution will help merchants to meet customer expectations and avoid missed sales opportunities. I also expect that Tap-To-Phone will be especially useful for small and micro-sized enterprises, but also companies with a courier network or numerous mobile points of sale," emphasized Mr. Đorđević.
