The Children's Education Alliance of Missouri invites the public to a screening of the new documentary The Ticket: The Many Faces of School Choice.

The film viewing party and office open house runs from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay will deliver a proclamation at 4:30 p.m. proclaiming it 'School Choice Week in St. Louis.'

The event will take place at CEAM's organization's new office space at 1310 Papin Street in St. Louis on January 30.

The Ticket includes a segment about Missouri's long road to implementing an Inter-District school choice policy. The film was directed by award-winning filmmaker Bob Bowden, the founder of Choice Media.

This event is one of 5,500 independently-planned events taking place as part of National School Choice Week 2014 - the nation's largest-ever celebration of educational opportunity.

The mission of the Children's Education Alliance of Missouri is to improve Missouri's K-12 education system by advancing education policies that ensure all families have the right to choose the education they determine is best for their children.

The Ticket takes viewers on a historic whistle stop train tour across the United States, showing different forms of school choice along the way and the children that they serve. For more information on the film, visit http://www.theticketfilm.com/.

National School Choice Week shines a positive spotlight on effective education options for children - including traditional public schools, public charter schools, magnet schools, private schools, online academies, and homeschooling.
