Compared to the average level of 2012, producer prices in Latvian industry in 2013 grew by 1.5% (prices of products sold on the domestic market increased by 0.8%, whereas prices of exported products - by 2.3%), according to the data of Central Statistical Bureau of Latvia. The major price increases were observed in the manufacture of leather and related products (by 10.9%), in printing and reproduction of recorded media (by 8.7%), in mining and quarrying (by 4.1%), in manufacture of machinery and equipment n.e.c. (by 3.7%) and in manufacture of wood and of products of wood, except furniture (by 3.5%). Major price decreases were observed in waste collection, treatment and disposal activities; materials recovery (by 5.5%) and in manufacture of textiles (by 2.1%).

In December 2013, compared to December of 2012, the overall level of producer prices in Latvian industry grew by 0.3%. The producer prices of products sold on the domestic market dropped by 0.6%, whereas prices of exported products rose by 1.3%. Price increase in manufacture of wood and of products of wood, except furniture had the greatest upward impact, but price drop in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply had the greatest downward impact.

In December 2013, the overall level of producer prices in Latvian industry, compared to November, reduced by 0.7%. The fall in prices of products sold on the domestic market comprised 0.9%, but in prices of exported products - 0.4%. Major price drops were observed in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, but major price increases - in manufacture of wood and of products of wood, except furniture and in manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products.
