"From his time as the Tennessee Commissioner of Revenue, through his stints in the private sector, to his role as Executive Director of the Multistate Tax Commission, Joe has consistently been notably successful in virtually everything on which he has focused," said Arthur Rosen, the Chairman of Bloomberg BNA's State Tax Advisory Board and a Partner at McDermott, Will & Emery LLP. "This is attributable to his admirable mixture of intelligence, politeness, knowledge, and - most important - his ability to put all issues and problems in their proper perspective."

Huddleston is currently an Executive Director in Ernst & Young's National Indirect Tax group. Prior to joining the firm in August, 2015, he served as the Executive Director of the Multistate Tax Commission for a decade. His previous positions include serving as the Commissioner for the Tennessee Department of Revenue and as CFO for the Metropolitan Government of the City of Nashville and Davidson County. Joe has been president of both the Federation of Tax Administrators and the Southeast Association of Tax Administrators and is a founding trustee of the Paul Hartman Tax Forum at Vanderbilt University Law School.

"We are thrilled to recognize Joe's outstanding contributions in the field of state and local taxation," said George Farrah, Editorial Director, Bloomberg BNA's Tax & Accounting division. "Joe has had significant impact on state and local tax policy, notably his leadership of the MTC's initiative to update model laws and regulations to reflect the modern economy."
