By Kuwait -January 11th, 2012: Gulf Bank announced the long awaited and highly anticipated winner of its latest Al Danah 1 million dinar prize draw. Mr. Waheed Ahmad's name was drawn during a special live event hosted by the Ambassador of Goodwill and the Gulf Song, Abdallah Al-Ruwaished and the Best Selling Lebanese Artist, Najwa Karam at The Avenues Mall on January 5th, in front of a massive cheering crowd.
The event commenced with the famous Kuwaiti TV presenter Barakat Al- Wogayan introducing the celebrity hosts of the evening to an excited crowd. The event was also streamed live through the Bank's website, making Gulf Bank the first Bank to offer this service to its customers. The ten weekly winners were announced and they are as follows: Musaed Mohammed Abdullah Al- Munayes, Hanan Jawad Abdullah Al- Amer Al- Sabagh, Fawzi Jassim Fahad Abdullatif Al-Fozan, Fouad Ahmad Ibrahim, Walaa Ibrahim Hassan El-Hamraa, Naser Ali Haider Saraj, Sayyed Hashim Yousef Al-Zelzela, Nawaz Ahmed Mehkri, Abdulaziz Ghanim Mohammed Al-Ghanim and Abdulatif Ahmad Mohammad Al-Kandari. The declaration of the winner of the 1 million dinar draw followed shortly to the great adulation of the jubilant crowd. Al-Wogayan contacted Mr. Waleed Ahmad expressing his great joy and elation over winning the prize draw. Mr. Waleed Ahmad shed tears of delight during the call that was broadcasted live throughout the country truly capturing the momentous occasion and emphasising his deep gratitude at receiving such a life changing prize.
