Founded in 2006, Tradewinds Global Investors LLC is a registered investment advisor headquartered in Los Angeles. The firm was created through a reorganization of their affiliate, NWQ Investment Management Co. They are a subsidiary of Nuveen Investments, Inc. Tradewinds provides investment advisory services to a wide variety of clients, including corporate and multi-employer plans, charitable organizations, educational institutions, individuals, high net-worth individuals, trust accounts, estates, corporations and/or other business entities, banks and thrift institutions, insurance companies, governments and municipalities. They provide investment sub-advisory services to affiliated and unaffiliated open-end and closed-end investment companies, CITs and other non-US pooled investment vehicles, including UCITS funds. Tradewinds also provides investment advisory services to a number of private investment funds which are generally organized as Delaware statutory trusts.
