Tom Summers

Mr. Summers is the founder and managing partner of Tom Summers & Associates Inc., a consulting firm which provides specialized services in executive assessment, coaching and search.
Prior to establishing his own business, Mr. Summers was a Managing Director with Korn/Ferry's International Practice and leader of the Canadian Strategic Management Assessment Practice.
He began his search career as a Partner with Pratzer & Partners Inc. For the past eight years, Mr. Summers has conducted senior level executive searches and led consulting engagements assessing the human capital skills required to execute business strategies.
The focus of his search work has been the recruitment of senior executives, of all functional areas, for privately owned operating companies throughout North America.
In addition, he has conducted numerous executive searches for early stage technology businesses and for senior merchant banking firms.
Mr. Summers has led executive assessments on behalf of private equity investors, both pre- and post-acquisition, and for businesses experiencing significant change events such as the hiring of a new CEO, mergers and new strategic directions.
Mr. Summers has a diverse career, which includes spearheading the turnaround of a small-cap retail/manufacturing business and several years as a management consultant with A.T.
Kearney, providing strategy, business process re-engineering and organizational development consulting services to senior executives of leading North American and European corporations.
He began his career at Procter & Gamble and gained general management experience through a variety of assignments in different functional areas.
Mr. Summers holds a B.A.Sc.
in engineering and a M.B.A.
from the University of Toronto.
