Tom Paffen
Profile
Tom Paffen received his Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Delft University of Technology in 1991.
Subsequently he joined the PhD-program at Erasmus University / Rotterdam School of Management focusing on Management of Innovation and Standardization in ICT.
Tom previously worked with AT&T Network Systems International and Ericsson Telecommunication in strategy and business development.
He joined Residentie Investments, the private equity firm of Achmea, in 1998 as (senior) investment manager building the ICT Team and is co-founder for Residex Ventures, the spin-out of Residex ICT activities in 2003.
Tom is now partner and statutory director for Capital-C Ventures.
He is an experienced Non-Executive Board member for several portfolio companies.
Tom is involved in guest lectures on venturing and innovation and also works with several start-up networks like the Gate-2-Growth European Venture Contest and European Techtour.
