The firm is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Foresters Financial Holding Co. Inc., itself a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Independent Order of Foresters, a Canadian fraternal benefit society with operations in Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom. Founded in 1971, FIMC was formerly known as First Investors Management Co., Inc. They act as investment adviser primarily to the First Investors Family of Funds. The First Investors Family of Funds consists of four trusts, which collectively contain 50 registered investment companies. The firm also acts as investment advisor to various proprietary accounts.

Spectrum Asset Management, Inc. (SAM) is an investment advisor headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut. The firm was founded in 1987 by Mark Lieb. In 2001, they were acquired by Principal Global Investors Holding Company (US) LLC (PGI), the asset management arm of The Principal Financial Group, Inc. (NYSE: PFG). SAM provides portfolio management services to registered mutual funds, private investment funds, foreign funds such as UCITS, sponsors of wrap account programs, corporate pension and profit–sharing plans, charitable institutions, insurance companies, foundations, endowments, and other US and international institutions.

DWS Investment Management Americas, Inc. (DIMA) is a SEC-registered investment advisor headquartered in New York City. The firm is a subsidiary of DWS USA Corp., ultimately held by Deutsche Bank AG (ETR: DBK) in Germany. The firm was founded in 1984 and formerly known as Deutsche Investment Management Americas Inc. In 2018, they changed their name into DWS as part of the rebranding of Deutsche Asset Management. DIMA provides discretionary and non-discretionary investment advisory services to various institutional clients. They also provide investment advisory services for its municipal bond strategies through wrap fee programs.
