Profile

Sam Feldman is CEO of S.L.
Feldman & Associates, Canada's leading full service entertainment agency.
SLFA is a division of A & F Music, which Sam jointly owns with internationally renowned talent manager Bruce Allen.
Sam was born in Shanghai, China of Russian-Jewish descent in 1949.
His father was a stage actor and salesman, his mother a concert pianist.
The rise of communism forced the family to move to Vancouver in 1951.
He attended Lord Byng and Eric Hamber high schools, and Vancouver City College.
As a boy Sam was (and still is) passionately interested in sports, but it was music that grabbed his attention and became a life-long passion.
Just out of school and back from travelling extensively in Europe, Sam began promoting concerts and dances.
To further learn about the music business, he took a job as doorman with Kitsilano nightclub The Daisy.
That led him into talent management (the bands Uncle Slug and Sweet Beaver) and agency work when he realized that the first order of business in the Vancouver scene at that time was finding and creating steady live work for local musicians.
In 1971, Sam teamed up with Bruce Allen to virtually pioneer the agency and management business in western Canada.
