Li Ruogu has been Chairman and President of The Export-Import Bank of China since 2005.

He was Temporary Alternate Governor of the International Monetary Fund for China, the African Development Bank for China and the African Development Bank for China Annual Meeting.
He was Assistant Professor of Beijing University from 1984 to 1985.
