Profile

Mr. Schatz brings 39 years of investment management experience to his position as President of Beneficial Capital.
He began his financial career as a registered representative in 1958 and in December of 1961, saw the market begin a six-month decline during which the S&P 500 lost 28 percent of its value.
That decline and subsequent bear markets, convinced Dick that investors had to develop strategies to protect their capital from bear market declines while still participating in the tremendous potential of equity markets.
In the 1970s, he developed one of the first successful managed account programs.
That early program was refined and expanded to become the basis of Beneficial Capital's Managed Account Programs.
he worked with many of Wall Street's leading financial firms before acquiring Beneficial Capital in 1987.
Today the firm manages in excess of $25 million for individuals, foundations, trusts, and corporations.
