RHÔNE ALPES CRÉATION SA (RAC) is an independent French venture capital firm which was created in 1990 on the initiative of the Rhône Alpes region and the Caisse des Dépôts to invest in innovative early-stage companies. Based in Champagne-au-Mont-d'Or, RAC manages the Rhône Alpes Création Fund, backed by the region, banks and private companies. The firm works closely with local business angel associations in Grenoble, Savoie and Lyon and business angel SCRs such as Start Me Up. They also work with members of the FRANCE-ANGEL and PARIS-BUSINESS ANGELS networks in the EASY program, the meeting point for early-stage investors and innovative businesses seeking venture capital from across Europe.
