Allen is a Vice President at Allen & Company of Florida, Inc. and a Chairman & Chief Executive Officer at Allen & Company Financial Corp.
He joined the Allen & Company team as a Financial Advisor Trainee in 1963.
He became Vice President in 1970 and assumed the role of Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer upon the passing of his father, Mr. J.
Everett Allen, in 1979.
Mr. Allen was previously employed as a Principal by National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. He has served as past president, chairman or director of the Lakeland Rotary Club, Salvation Army, Lakeland Regional Medical Center Foundation, the Florida Securities Dealers Association and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority District 7 Business Conduct Committee.
He is a former board member of the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce, First Florida Bank, Barnett Banks of Florida, the United Way of Central Florida and the Polk Museum of Art.
He is one of the founding members of both the GiveWell Community Foundation and the Lakeland YMCA, and a board member of the Florida Polytechnic University Foundation.
He graduated from St. Andrews Presbyterian College.
He holds his Series 7, 64, 53 and 24 licenses, as well as Life and Variable Annuities.
