Dr. Peter Heindl is a Senior Researcher at Zentrum für Europäische Wirtschaftsforschung GmbH.
Since March 2009, he has been working at the Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) in Mannheim.
His research focusses on the optimal design of environmental policies and public good provision under uncertainty and market failure.
He is interested in the comparative advantage of environmental taxes vs.
regulation by quantities, distributional aspects of environmental regulation, and aspects of distributional justice.
He has been visiting fellow at the Australian National University (ANU) in Canberra (2010, 2011) and the University of Regensburg (2012).
He studied economics and statistics at the University of Regensburg (Germany) and received a Ph.D.
from the University of Regensburg.
