Dr. Minglun Qian is Managing Partner at ClearFunds Advisors LLC.
Prior to joining ClearFunds in October 2007, Dr. Qian spent four years with the Ritchie Quantitative Strategies group at Ritchie Capital Management.
During this time, he was responsible for the advancement of the group’s proprietary quantitative methodology.
Dr. Qian has specialized skills in artificial intelligence, optimization, numeric analysis, and computational physics.
He spent four years modelling the U.S.
equity market during his PhD program, primarily using a neural network based on constrained formulations and optimization techniques.
Dr. Qian earned a PhD and an MS in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
He has an MS and a BS in Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China.
