Michael Koichopolos

Michael is a Principal at Staple Street Capital.
He is responsible for identifying and evaluating investment opportunities, performing due diligence, and working with our management teams to create value.
Prior to joining Staple Street Capital, Mr. Koichopolos was a Senior Vice President at H.I.G.
Capital where he focused on U.S.
middle market transactions.
At H.I.G.
Capital, he was responsible for all key aspects of the investment process including due diligence, transaction structuring, financing, and portfolio company value creation strategies.
Mr. Koichopolos has completed private equity investments across a wide range of industries including business services, industrials, chemicals, government services, technology, and consumer.
Prior to joining H.I.G.
Capital, Mr. Koichopolos served in general management and consulting roles within private equity portfolio companies.
He began his career as a consultant with A.T.
Kearney, a leading global strategy consulting firm, where he worked with private equity firms on due diligence and operational improvement engagements.
Mr. Koichopolos earned an M.B.A.
from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Honours with Distinction) from Queen’s University.
