Profile

Larissa Brito has been working with the IQ Capital team since the beginning of 2006 and brings Life Sciences expertise to the group.
She represents GEIF Ventures in the board of most of its life sciences investments including Altacor, Atlas Genetics, and Novacta Biosystems.
Previously, she worked at the consultancy arm of Library House where she discovered her passion for early stage venture capital.
She worked in projects commissioned by NESTA, Carbon Trust and the published BVCA report "Creating Success from University Spin-outs".
She studied for her PhD at the University of Cambridge in Molecular Neuroscience where she gained expertise in the fields of neurobiology, molecular biology, biochemistry and proteomics.
Most of her degree was spent at GlaxoSmithkline where she gained an understanding of the pharmaceutical industry.
Larissa holds a BSc in Cellular and Molecular Biology.
In her spare time in the summer she is a keen rock climber with a passion for sea cliffs, and in the winter she is an avid skier.
