Amalgamated Bank (Investment Management) (Amalgamated Bank-IM) is the investment management division of Amalgamated Bank (NASDAQ: AMAL), an FDIC-insured commercial bank headquartered in New York City. The firm was founded as Amalgamated Bank of New York in 1923 by the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America. They have retail branches in New York as well as branches in Las Vegas, Nevada, Lyndhurst, New Jersey, Pasadena, California and Washington, DC. Amalgamated Bank’s corporate divisions also include commercial banking and real estate finance. Through their institutional asset management and custody division, Amalgamated Bank-IM provides investment and trust services to US Taft-Hartley and public sector employee benefit plans, as well as endowments and foundations, non-profits, unions, political organizations and social impact enterprises.

On April 12, 1853, the New York State legislature passed a bill chartering the United States Trust Co. of New York with the mission of serving as manager, executor and trustee of personal and corporate funds. They opened for business in New York City in August of that year. US Trust has divisions in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Florida, Texas, Oregon, California, Washington, and the District of Columbia. The firm also owns Campbell Cowperthwait, which manages growth-oriented portfolios for U.S. Trust's institutional clients.
