Mr. Meriwether co-founded JWM Partners LLC in 1999.
He began his career with Salomon Brothers in 1974 and was named vice president in 1977.
In 1978, he was selected to start the Domestic Fixed Income Arbitrage Group.
He was admitted as a general partner of Salomon Brothers in 1980 and was appointed to the firm's Board of Directors in 1986.
Mr. Meriwether was appointed vice chairman of Salomon Brothers in February 1988, responsible for worldwide Fixed Income Trading, Fixed Income Arbitrage and Foreign Exchange Trading.
He left Salomon Brothers in 1991.
He formed Long-Term Capital Management, L.P.
in early 1993 where he was a principal and CEO.
In addition to his other business activities, Mr. Meriwether was a director of the Chicago Board of Trade from 1985 to 1990.
Mr. Meriwether received his B.S.
degree from Northwestern University in 1969 and his M.B.A.
degree from the Graduate School of Business of the University of Chicago in 1973.
