John Petty

HM Capital Partners LLC is a private equity firm located in Dallas, Texas. The firm was originally formed in 1989 by Tom Hicks and John Muse as Hicks, Muse & Co. In 1994, they became known as Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst to reflect the roles of Charles Tate and Jack Furst. In March 2006, the name was changed to HM Capital Partners to reflect the departure of Tom Hicks and the new group of partners heading the firm.
