Maple Capital Management, Inc. (Maple Capital) is an independent, SEC-registered investment advisor headquartered in Montpelier, Vermont. The firm was founded by John Boland and Ramsey Luhr in 2004 through a management buyout of the private client group of NL Capital Management, Inc. Maple Capital provides portfolio management services to individuals, families, trusts, corporate pension and profit-sharing plans, charitable institutions, foundations, endowments, corporations, and insurance companies.

Founded in 1969, NL Capital Management, Inc. is a registered investment advisor that provides asset management for institutions as well as individuals and their families. A subsidiary of the National Life Group, the firm is located in Montpelier, Vermont.

In 1915 Charles Edward Merrill founded Merrill Lynch & Co. (NYSE: MER) with Edmund C. Lynch in Baltimore, Maryland. The modern Merrill Lynch was formed in 1940 through mergers with E.A. D. A. Davidson & Co. is a dually SEC-registered investment adviser and FINRA broker-dealer headquartered in Great Falls, Montana. The firm was founded in 1935 and is a subsidiary of D.A. Davidson Companies, a financial service holding company. They provide liquidity and execution in small & mid-cap stocks to a wide range of institutional investors, including mutual fund and money managers around the world.
