Pioneer Alternative Investment Management Ltd. (PAI) is the Ireland-based alternative investment subsidiary of Pioneer Global Asset Management SpA, the asset management arm of UniCredit SpA (MI: UCG) in Italy. Generally known under their trading name, Pioneer Alternative Investments, PAI was established in 1999 and manages hedge funds listed on the Irish Stock Exchange. In 2002, they acquired funds of hedge funds firm Momentum Group. Headquartered in Dublin, PAI has research and investment professionals located in Dublin, New York, London, Geneva and Milan. They distribute products through Pioneer investments' sales and marketing centers in Boston, Dublin, Geneva, Hong Kong, London, Madrid, Miami, Milan, Munich, New York, Paris, Prague, Singapore and Warsaw.
