Kids Operating Room is a Scottish charity that provides pediatric operating rooms and safe equipment to surgeons. The non-profit company is based in Edinburgh, UK. The British company also fund the training of surgeons and providers and work with national ministries of health to develop sustainable healthcare services. The organization has installed 25 operating rooms and provided over 24,000 children with access to emergency lifesaving and life-changing surgery in the last two years. Kids Operating Room conducts independent research to evaluate the impact of their work. The company installed the first-ever children's operating room in a refugee setting in Kakuma refugee camp, giving children in the camp access to safe, timely surgery for the very first time. The company was founded in 2018 by Garreth Rene Clark Wood, Nicola Wood. The CEO is David Cunningham.
