Gary Thompson

Mr. Gary C.
Thompson is a Head of Global Trading at Vontobel Asset Management, Inc. He joined in June 2011.
In his current role, he oversees execution hubs in New York, Europe, and Asia for all of the firm’s boutiques.
He has over 33 years investment experience and 12 years with Vontobel.
Prior to joining Vontobel Asset Management, from 2000 to 2011, he was a Managing Director and Head of the International Sales Trading Desk at Société Générale.
From 1997 to 2000, he specialized in the European markets at BNP Paribas.
From 1995 to 1997, he ran the market making operation at Kleinwort Benson, and headed the Latin American trading desk at Inverlat International in London, England from 1993 to 1995.
He began his financial career in 1991 trading Japanese derivatives at Baring Securities until 1992.
He received a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Mathematics, with an emphasis in Abstract Mathematics, from the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom.
In addition, he holds the following FINRA License(s): Series 7, 24 and 63.
