Gary Gasbarra

Gary Gasbarra System Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer & Corporate Controller Gary Gasbarra is System Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer/Corporate Controller at Provena Health.
In this role, Gary has system responsibility for the leadership and oversight for internal and external financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, the external audit of the consolidated financial statements, all tax compliance and related service needs.
He serves as the system's primary accounting authority.
Gary joined Provena Health in 2003 as System Director, Corporate Controller.
Previously, he served as Associate Vice President, Finance, for Rush University Medical Center, where he also held a faculty appointment teaching finance related courses for 12 years.
Gary has also taught finance at Loyola University's School of Law.
He began his career at Arthur Anderson where he served five years in the company's Healthcare Auditing and Consulting Practice.
Gary earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Masters in Accounting (with Specialization in Taxation) from the University of Illinois in Champaign, Illinois.
He is a licensed CPA.
