Mr. Sylvester joined Bingham, Osborn & Scarborough in 2008, after a 25-year career in the investment industry.
His experience includes roles as a research analyst, institutional salesperson, and portfolio manager of an actively managed equity fund.
Investment banking firms where he worked include Kidder, Peabody & Co., and Montgomery Securities (now known as Banc of America Securities).
Early in his career, he was a research analyst covering the new entrant airlines that were spawned as a result of the Airline Deregulation Act of 1978.
That experience ultimately resulted in Mr. Sylvester becoming the first president of Harmony Airways, a $100 million (revenues) airline based in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Most recently he was the Chief Operating Officer and co-portfolio manager of a small equity investment manager, based in Lafayette, California.
Mr. Sylvester holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the CFA Society of San Francisco.
He is a past member of the national board of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and he currently serves as a trustee of the Moraga Valley Presbyterian Church Foundation.
Mr. Sylvester attended the University of Richmond on a full football scholarship and he graduated with a B.S.
in Business Administration.
