Atkinson the Founding Partner at CopperTree Capital Management LLP.
He founded CopperTree in 2004.
He has been working in the investment management industry since 1987 and has been in senior investment management positions for 12 years.
He started his investment career at Henderson Administration in 1987 as an Investment Manager on the global team with a North American equity specialisation.
During this period, he helped in managing 550 million USD in assets.
Between 1993 and 1995, he worked for Invesco Asset Management running a total of 450 million USD of North American equity.
He joined Jardine Fleming in 1995 where he ran a number of top quartile US equity funds.
In his nine year career at Jardine Fleming, later JPMorgan Fleming, he held a number of senior positions and was directly responsible for over 2 billion USD in assets and advised on a further 15 billion USD.
He held the positions of Head of US Equity Investment for Jardine Fleming Asset Management, Director of Jardine Fleming Asset Management, Head of US Equities for JPMorgan Fleming Global Investment Team, and was also a member of the JPMorgan Fleming asset allocation committee.
He resigned from JPMorgan Fleming in February 2004 to set up CopperTree Capital.
Mr. David Atkinson is qualified by IMC and authorized by FSA.
