Prior to March 2021, the firm was an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Eaton Vance Corp. The State Board of Administration of Florida Retirement System (SBA) is a state constitionally created investment management organization headquartered in Tallahassee, Florida. The firm was founded in 1943 by the Florida Constitution to administer the Florida Retirement System (FRS) Pension Plan and other statewide retirement systems. These plans provide retirement, death, and disability benefits for employees of Florida's state and county government agencies, district school boards and community colleges and universities, as well as for employees of the cities and special districts in Florida that have elected to participate in the system.
