De Heus is an international company whose core business the production and marketing of high quality feed. Since its founding in 1911, the company has grown from a small regional company into one of the biggest players in the Dutch compound feed industry. Growth in the Netherlands was achieved through organic growth and acquisitions. Due to the rapid expansion outside the Netherlands is now among the top 20 Heus feed suppliers in the world. In 2009 De Heus Feed produced more than 3.0 million tons (metric) feed in its own manufacturing plants, of which 1.922 million tonnes in the Netherlands. 11 of 27 production sites in the Netherlands are De Heus. Heus produces the compound according to the guidelines of GMP quality. Additionally, for the raw materials purchasing TrusQ participated in a joint venture for the assurance of quality when purchasing raw materials. Outside the Netherlands, De Heus operations in over 40 countries, including subsidiaries in Poland, Russia, Czech Republic, Egypt, Ethiopia, South Africa and Vietnam. De Heus is also active in the Chinese market since De Heus has a strategic alliance with Honeywell Hope Agri-Tech Co. Ltd. They are also using the export of concentrates active in many foreign markets, the main ones in Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
