Alain Guilbert

Alain Guilbert, Vice-President, Communications joined Canada Post in 1997.
He has an extensive background in publishing and in the communications industry.
Prior to joining Canada Post, he was President, Transcontinental Publications Inc. He also worked for the following publications: Le Soleil (Quebec), La Tribune (Sherbrooke), La Voix de l'Est (Granby), and the magazine L'Actualité (Montréal).
From 1990 to 1992, he was General Manager and Publisher of DBC Communications (St-Hyacinthe).
He was also Information Director at the Organizing Committee of the Montreal Olympic Games (Cojo 76).
Over the years, he has been the President of Les Quotidiens du Québec, Les Hebdos du Québec, and Les Magazines du Québec.
Mr. Guilbert received his Bachelor of Arts from the Seminary of Saint-Hyacinthe.
He also studied at the University of Sherbrooke Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Administration.
Mr. Guilbert is married and has two adult children.
