Company Profile

Preferred Apartment Communities, Inc. is a real estate investment trust (REIT). The Company is primarily engaged in owning and operating Class A multifamily properties, with select investments in grocery-anchored shopping centers. It operates through four segments: Multifamily Communities, Financing, New Market Properties and Preferred Office Properties. The Multifamily Communities segment consists of the Company's portfolio of residential multifamily communities. The Financing segment consists of the Company's portfolio of real estate loans, bridge loans, and other instruments deployed by the Company to partially finance the development, construction, and pre-stabilization carrying costs of new multifamily communities and other real estate and real estate-related assets. The New Market Properties segment consists of the Company's portfolio of grocery-anchored shopping centers. The Preferred Office Properties segment consists of the Company's portfolio of office buildings.
