The inhalation company Inhalation Sciences is ending the process it has been conducting together with PharmaVentures. The board believes the company's best path forward is to continue developing the business independently, while keeping the door open to future partnerships and structural transactions.
At the same time, Manoush Masarrat is stepping down, at his own request, as CEO after seven years. Pontus Nobréus will take over as the new CEO on October 5. He has previously, among other roles, served as CEO of Redsense Medical and Pro Health Pharma Sweden.
"I want to thank Manoush for his committed leadership and for the way he is now ensuring a smooth transition. The board is very pleased to be able to welcome Pontus as the new CEO, his solid experience as CEO in medtech and pharmaceuticals, as well as his view of the company's development opportunities, make him the right person to lead ISAB forward," says Jan Hellqvist, chairman of the board of Inhalation Sciences.
Masarrat will remain with the company until year-end to ensure the transition. The board says it continues to see strong potential in the company's technology and its position in predictive pharmacokinetics.
