Milestone Capital Partners LLP is an active manager which invests in buy and build/roll-out transactions in the lower mid-market in the UK and France. They aim to identify and invest in experienced management teams with a strong track record in all sectors (except property and bio-tech) that are consolidating and where additional equity can be committed up front to support the buy-and-build or roll-out strategy. The firm seeks to invest in private companies located in the UK, France, Ireland, Channel Islands, the Isle of Man, Benelux or Switzerland which are pursuing a buy-and-build or which have a clearly defined profit improvement plan, an enterprise value of €20-€100 million and a minimum EBITDA of €2 million. Milestone takes a majority stake in investee companies, partnering with management to formulate a business plan from which they can review investment progress against pre-determined milestones and identifying possible exit routes, typically in a three to five year time frame. When the value-added elements of the management team's business plan have been achieved, the firm works closely with investee management towards a satisfactory exit from the investment, which may include stock market flotation or trade sale. Milestone works with a group of proven, successful and entrepreneurial managers to find situations where they can marry their talents to their capital. Members of this 'Management Pool' are typically interviewed by external consultants in order to benchmark them against successful managers of Milestone's businesses. The firm's Investment Committee reviews all investment proposals.
