Wiggan, CFA, is a President & Chief Executive Officer at TD Securities inc /ab/, and at TD Securities, Inc. He is also a Group Head-Wholesale Banking at The Toronto-Dominion Bank.
He is on the Board of Directors at The Crescent School.
He most recently served as Group Head, Wealth Management and Insurance, where he was responsible for the TD Direct Investing, Private Wealth Management and Asset Management businesses in Canada, United States, Asia and Europe, as well as the TD Insurance business which includes home, auto, creditor, life, and travel medical.
Prior to that, he served as Vice Chair and Co-Head of Global Investment Banking, leading the dealer's Investment Banking, Mergers & Acquisitions and Capital Markets activities, as well as Co-Head of Global Markets sales, trading, and the origination functions for TD Securities.
His career with TD spans over 20 years, originally joining in 2000 with the acquisition of Newcrest Capital.
In 2013, he was appointed CEO of TD Asset Management, overseeing investment management, operations, risk management, and distribution.
In 2017, he was appointed Head of Equities & Commodities and served in that capacity until 2021.
He also played a crucial role as Co-Chair in our ESG Solutions team, contributing to the development and support of the firm’s ESG strategy.
He was also the Co-Chair of our United Way High Value Giving Campaign, and a former member of Crescent School’s Board of Governors.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario and is a CFA charter holder.
