Mr. Hamalian joined Farallon in 2000.
Prior to joining Farallon, Mr. Hamalian worked on first mortgage and mezzanine debt originations, as well as the acquisition of other originators, at iStar Financial, a publicly-traded real estate structured finance company.
Before joining iStar Financial, Mr. Hamalian was with Starwood Capital Group, a real estate opportunity fund, where he worked on acquisitions for the company's fourth fund.
Mr. Hamalian attended the University of Pennsylvania where he was a Benjamin Franklin Scholar.
He received a B.S.
in Economics from the Wharton School, a B.A. in Urban Studies from the College of Arts and Science, and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
