Mr. Richard J.
Merriam, CFA MBA, is a Founding Managing Partner at Galliard Capital Management, Inc. and an Advisor at Portage Capital, Inc. Mr. Merriam co-founded Galliard Capital Management in 1995 and is also Co-Head of the Investment Committee and is responsible for overseeing asset selection and strategy formulation for the firm’s fixed income portfolios.
He also heads the Corporate Sector Team.
He serves on the firm’s Executive Management Team, and is also a key leader on the Fixed Income Committee.
Mr. Merriam was previously employed as Chief Investment Officer by Clerical Medical Investment Management Ltd. He earned a B.A. in Economics and English from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.
