Dr. Reena V.
Mithal is Co-Founder at CreditSights, Inc. Prior to co-founding CreditSights in September 2000, her previous experience includes the analysis of emerging markets at Putnam Investments in Boston, where she was responsible for country-specific research in addition to quantitative analysis for the emerging markets portfolio team and the development of market risk models for portfolio positioning.
She was also an emerging markets debt strategist at Deutsche Bank from 1997 to 1999 and at Lehman Brothers from 1995 to 1997, where she developed Lehman's Sovereign Risk Model and was involved in the firm's internal sovereign risk committee.
She has completed research projects for the World Bank and the Council on Foreign Relations.
Dr. Mithal received a Ph.D.
in Corporate Finance from Columbia's University's Graduate School of Business, a Master of Arts in International Affairs from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Delhi University.
