Mr. Luis Diez is a Portfolio Manager at Northern Trust Investments, Inc. He is also a Senior Vice President & Team Leader on Northern Trust’s Multi-Manager Investments team.
This team is responsible for manager identification, research and due diligence, and investment monitoring for a wide variety of client assets including institutions, foundations, endowments and high net worth individuals.
Mr. Diez's responsibilities include due diligence and analysis on prospective managers, monitoring and reporting on current managers, client presentations as well as various research projects.
He also serves as Team Leader for WMBE manager research.
Mr. Diez is a Member of Northern Trust’s enterprise-wide sustainable investing council focused on developing business strategies to address the growing global demand for responsible investing investment solutions.
Prior to joining Northern Trust Asset Management in 2006, Mr. Diez worked for Common fund Asset Management where he was an Associate Director supporting all areas of the Fixed Income and Commodities Team including portfolio construction, research and analysis for all the fixed income, distressed debt and commodities investment programs.
Prior to that he was a Senior Trade Support Analyst at UBS Warburg responsible for NASDAQ trades.
He also worked at Evaluation Associates, an investment consulting firm, as Senior Analyst, Fixed Income and Currency Research.
At Evaluation Associates, he was responsible for the oversight of domestic and global fixed income, emerging markets debt and currency asset classes.
Mr. Diez also served in the CT Army National Guard from 1992 to 1995.
He received his Masters of Business Administration from Fordham's Graduate School of Business with honors.
He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance with a minor in Accounting from Western Connecticut State University.
